GYPSY JAZZ: Rue Manouche is a Gypsy Jazz group founded in San Francisco in 2009 by guitarist Vic Wong and singer Michel Saga.
One of the most significant Gypsy Jazz & Musette groups in the bay area, this band was described by critic Jim Burek as "one of the most original Gypsy Jazz & Musette bands in San Francisco". Their most famous lineup featured Vic Wong, Michel Saga, bassist Daniel Fabricant, and rhythm guitarist Nick Christie who filled out the ensemble's sound.

He is influenced by the likes of Greg Brown, Steve Earle and The Ghost of Tom Joad. His songwriting dates back to the days of Balladeers and Troubadours, applying acoustic country music to many a day spent at sea.

Exclusive Screening of "They Came to Play" 6 to 9pm $20 cover
The Sonoma International Film Society and the Napa Valley Film Society present the acclaimed documentary "They Came to Play", on Monday, February 15th at 7:00 p.m.
Doors open at 6:00 for delicious small plate food, wine, beer and other beverages offered by the club. The film will screen at 7:00 p.m.
"They Came to Play" chronicles the Fifth International Piano Competition for Outstanding Amateurs, hosted by The Van Cliburn Foundation. In addition to the film screening, producer Lori Miller will be on hand to answer questions, and acclaimed pianist Ken Iisaka, a featured finalist in the competition and film, will play several selections on Silo's grand piano.

JAZZ: Pianist Mike Greensill and vocalist Suzi Gilbert return to Silo’s Jazz Club on Thursday, February 18th for two shows at 7:00 and 8:45PM.
Mike Greensill is an internationally acclaimed jazz pianist and composer who performs regularly with gifted vocalist Wesla Whitfield and can be heard weekly on Sedge Thomson’s nationally syndicated radio show, ‘West Coast Live”.
Suzi Gilbert’s rich, clear voice spans a 3 octave range and delivers an equally impressive range of material and styles. Moving easily between musical worlds, Gilbert has performed with diverse ensembles in Europe and Ireland as well as Bay Area venues, including Napa Valley Opera House, Copia , The White Barn and many wineries.
Together they’ll offer an entertaining mix of jazz and Great American Songbook selections. Don’t miss it!

JAZZ, BLUES: The Michelle Michaels Trio began four years ago as part of the Benicia Performing Arts Foundation Adult Jazz group. The core members: Bob Dietlein, guitarist, Stan Morrison, upright bassist, and Michelle Witthoeft (Michelle Michaels), vocalist found they blended so well together, they formed the Michelle Michaels Trio. The recently added drummer, Steve Trovao, offers the group that cool-down beat. Trio’s style of music is a mix of jazz and blues that has everything from traditional jazz to funky blues pieces with some R&B for good measure.

Sean Garvey Opens 5:30 to 7pm no cover
Sean Garvey’s music recalls an old radio sound of blues and country, capturing a lost world of a less homogenized America. His songs are iconic, full of characters both romantic and despairing, longing for what is real. The son of a farmer, Sean writes with an authentic voice.
California Parable, Garvey’s newly released record, is haunting and intimate. Recorded on a vintage 16 track tape machine at Wow and Flutter in east Nashville, producers Kevin Gordon and Joe McMahan helped Garvey achieve an unrelenting “sense of place.” The 10 original songs combine heartbreaking melodies with strikingly poetic language.
